25th Annual Tournament of Bands

Classifications The number of wind players will determine band classification. Bands will be put into classes according to logical breaks in band sizes. Additionally, we will have 2 divisions to break up the smaller groups from the larger groups. Directors may choose to register in a higher classification, but may not enter a lower classification.
Awards
- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies for each class.
- 1st place trophies for drum major, drum line, and colorguard in each class.
- 1st trophy for the best overall soloist, regardless of class
- The top band from each division will receive a trophy.
- The band with the highest overall score, regardless of class, will receive a trophy.
Ratings
Superior: 100-85
Excellent: 84-70
Quality Below: 70
Adjudication
Ensemble Music Execution - press box judge - 40 points
Ensemble Visual Execution - press box judge - 30 points
Overall Effect - press box judge - 30 points
Three additional judges will be assigned to judge drum majors, percussion, and colorguard. Their scores will not effect the overall outcome of the band's ratings.
Warm-up Warm-up locations and times will be provided. Changing facilities will be available if your band needs them. Also, we will provide one trailer per band for moving percussion and equipment.
Miscellaneous Directors will receive a complete packet including scheduled warm-up and performance times, rules and regulations, staff passes, and maps. Passes for chaperones (please indicate how many you will need) will be given upon your arrival. Bus and equipment truck drivers will also receive complimentary passes.
